How we work
Focus Assurance
Remote work only exists if clients trust it. Focus Assurance is how Rungwell at Home labellers show that work done at a kitchen table meets the same standard as work done in our centres, and how they notice for themselves when it is time for a break.
What it does
While a Rungwell at Home labeller is working on a task, Focus Assurance uses the laptop’s camera to estimate, many times a minute, whether they are looking at and attending to the task. It turns that into a focus score from 0 to 100 for each session.
- For labellers, it suggests a break when attention drifts, and shows each person their own patterns over the week, so they can plan their hardest tasks for their best hours.
- For clients, it provides evidence that remote work is attended work, which is why many clients that once insisted on on-site work now allow Rungwell at Home.
- For quality, items completed during low-focus intervals receive a second review before delivery.

Privacy by design
The camera image is processed on the labeller’s laptop. Nobody watches a live picture, and Rungwell receives a focus score and a list of events, not a video stream. Focus Assurance runs only inside Rungwell Tasks, only during tasks, and never during breaks, wellbeing time or training.
Labellers can see their own scores and events at any time under Me › Focus, and can ask their team lead to review any event they disagree with.
Focus scores and events are kept for 13 months. When an event is reviewed, up to two still images taken at the time of the event are kept with it for 30 days. Items completed while a session’s focus score is below 70 are held for a second review and credited when released. Full details are in section 6 of the worker privacy notice.
