The Manila centre today opened the ninth floor of Valderrama Tower, adding 280 workstations, a restricted room for work under client confidentiality, and a training room.
The new floor’s first cohort includes 18 Deaf labellers, trained over six weeks with two Filipino Sign Language interpreters who are now on Rungwell’s staff. Training materials, team briefings and the centre’s wellbeing sessions are interpreted, and Rungwell Tasks shows every instruction in text.
“We assumed we would have to adapt the work,” said Rowena Dimaculangan. “Mostly we had to adapt the meetings. The work, the labellers adapted to faster than we did.”
